Jacklyn Kim graduated from UCI, then attended law school in Albany, New York where she received a scholarship until the completion of her legal studies. During law school, Ms. Kim interned for Legal Aid, AG’s Office and clerked for a family law judge while in law school.
After being admitted to NY, she began her career at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office for the State of NY as an Assistant District Attorney.
Thereafter, Ms. Kim worked for insurance defense firms in New York until returning to California in 2004.
In California, Ms. Kim worked as a solo practitioner until 2017. During this time she practiced business litigation, corporate formation and governance, contracts and employment cases. After closing her private office, Ms. Kim worked as in-house counsel for nationally recognized insurance companies where she tried personal injury cases in both the Los Angeles and Orange County courts.
Ms. Kim is also fluent in Korean.
