Biography

Matthew Gutierrez is an associate at the Orange County office of Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara LLP.  Mr. Gutierrez earned his Juris Doctorate from UCLA School of Law, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with honors, from UCLA.  Mr. Gutierrez is admitted to the State Bar of California and New York State Bar. 

Prior to joining Bremer Whyte, Mr. Gutierrez worked as an associate at a Los Angeles firm practicing bad faith insurance defense with an emphasis on summary judgments and appeals.  At Bremer Whyte, his practice emphaisizes labor and employment litigation, business litigation, general civil litigation, and Government entity defense. 

Mr. Gutierrez completed the Business Law & Policy Program at UCLA School of Law, during which time he completed MBA courses at UCLA Anderson School of Management.  During law school he served as class president of the Student Bar Association, Student Representative of the ABA, and representative of the law school on the university-wide Graduate Student Association.  He also served in the United States Army Reserve as a counterintelligence agent prior to law school.

Outside of practicing law Mr. Gutierrez remains active in the community.  He volunteers with the UCLA Alumni Association.  He is a volunteer with the Orange County Fire Watch and a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.  Mr. Gutierrez is also on the Board of Directors at Delhi Center.
